COVID-19 Notice

At this challenging time, the staff and partners at E+F send well-wishes to all of our clients, our colleagues at other IP firms, and their families.

 

E+F is fully operational and we expect to remain so throughout the current crisis.  We are working almost entirely from home.

 

Although we are still accepting and processing correspondence by post, and are still able to receive telephone calls, email is by far the best way to contact us. Video- and audio-conferences are also available, by prior arrangement.

 

We are meeting all deadlines as normal, but the following provisions by IP offices may be of additional assistance:

 

• At the EPO, most time limits expiring on or after 15 March 2020 were extended until 02 June 2020; renewal fees that fell due on or after 15 March can be paid without surcharge up until the end of August 2020; other remedies may be available, dependent upon circumstances.
• At the EUIPO, the blanket extension of all deadlines ended on 18 May 2020 (various other remedies may be available on a case-by-case basis).
• The UKIPO declared 24 March 2020 and subsequent days until 29 July 2020 to be interrupted days. This meant that many deadlines falling between 24 March 2020 and 29 July 2020 were extended to Thursday, 30 July 2020. For deadlines that expired prior to 24 March, the UKIPO is willing to consider requests for extensions of time as favourably as possible, on a case-by-case basis.
