Ellie has experience in a wide range of patent work, with particular expertise in prosecuting patent applications before the EPO and the UK IPO as well as managing international portfolios. She often co-ordinates prosecution in multiple jurisdictions, including the US, Japan and China. Her practice also includes drafting new patent applications, and representing clients in opposition proceedings before the EPO. Ellie’s technical background is in Physics; she enjoys working on a broad range of subject-matter including optical fibers, semiconductor technology, X-ray analysis, consumer goods and medical devices.

Before joining E+F, Ellie graduated from the University of Southampton with a Master of Physics degree (1st Class Hons). Whilst studying for her degree, she also gained experience working for a major UK instrumentation and metrology company where she authored technical documents and undertook assignments in product development and planning.
