Harriet Oliver
Technical Assistant

Harriet studied Biological Sciences at Imperial College London (BSc Honours, First Class) before obtaining her PhD in Neuroscience from University College London.
During her undergraduate degree, Harriet undertook a summer research placement funded by the Genetics Society, where she investigated host-pathogen interactions using the model organism C. elegans.
Harriet’s PhD research focussed on the GABA(A) receptor – the main inhibitory receptor in the central nervous system. She investigated how phosphorylation affects the subcellular localisation of these receptors within the brain, and the implications that this has for the expression of different diseases.
Harriet joined E+F as a Technical Assistant in September 2024, having previously worked for another leading IP firm.
