James Nunn
Technical Assistant
LinkedIn Profile

James studied Physics at the University of Warwick (MPhys 1st Class, 2019) before continuing on to complete his PhD jointly with Diamond Light Source, the UK national synchrotron.
His final year undergraduate project investigated the structural and optical properties of nanowire heterostructures using electron microscopy techniques.
For his PhD research, James studied the electronic structure of different 2D materials using angle-resolved photoelectron spectroscopy, aiming to probe the interlayer interactions present in 2D layered systems. During this time, he worked closely with collaborators from the National Graphene Institute in Manchester.
James joined Elkington + Fife as a Technical Assistant in October 2023.
